Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern the use of IT services provided by MockeBytes (“we,” “our,” “us”). By engaging our services, you (“the client,” “you,” “your”) agree to the following terms:

 
1. Services Provided

We offer professional IT solutions, including but not limited to:

  • Remote support troubleshooting

  • Cloud/email setup and personnel training

  • Backup and antivirus management

 
2. Service Process
  • Services may be provided onsite (in in the Mossel bay area) or remotely, depending on your needs.

  • Remote sessions will only be initiated with your explicit consent.

  • We will make reasonable efforts to resolve your issue; however, we cannot guarantee resolution in all cases.

 
3. Pricing & Billing​
  • Services are billed per hour, with additional time billed in 30-minute increments.

  • No fix, no fee on software issues: If we cannot resolve your issue, you will not be charged for that specific fix. If the issue is hardware based then the usual fee will still be billed.

  • Any charges will be clearly communicated before work begins.

  • If the troubleshooting session is cut short by the customer with a possible fix in sight then the customer is still liable to pay the usual fee.

  • Late payments may incur penalties or service suspension.

 
4. Client Responsibilities
  • Provide accurate and complete information necessary for service.

  • Ensure you have the appropriate licenses for all software installed on your systems.

  • Back up important data before service (we will not be held liable for data loss unless specifically contracted to perform backups).

  • Maintain secure login credentials and grant us access only as required for service delivery.

 
5. Liability & Disclaimer
  • While we take every precaution to protect your systems, we are not liable for:

    • Loss of data, productivity, or business resulting from service.

    • Issues arising from pre-existing system conditions, misuse, or third-party software/hardware failures.

  • Our liability is limited to the fees paid for the specific service provided.

  • Recommendations for third-party software, email providers, antivirus tools, or cloud platforms are made in good faith, but their use is subject to those providers’ own terms and conditions.

 
6. Confidentiality
  • We treat all client data and information as confidential.

  • Any temporary access to your system (e.g., during a remote session) is used strictly for service purposes and terminated after completion.

  • We do not sell or share your information with third parties except as required by law.

 
7. Termination of Service
  • Either party may terminate services at any time.

  • Outstanding invoices remain payable.

  • We reserve the right to refuse service if illegal activity, abusive behaviour, or unsafe conditions are identified.

 
8. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will be available on our website or upon request. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of updated terms.

 
9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of South Africa, and any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of South African courts.
